Jump Time

Jump Time records visitors jump height and plays it back in slow motion.

Spokane hosts the world’s largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and Jump Time references court culture in its jump-height challenge.

This camera-based interactive records visitors jumping and then play it back in slow motion to see the mechanics of their jump. (They also have the option to email the recording of the jump as an animated .gif.) The interactive has an intuitive interface to ensure an effortless experience, while a bold countdown graphic helps draw attention to the piece from across the museum.

The jump is set against a backdrop of height indicators, allowing visitors to compare their results with NBA stars, insects and animals.
